Following my four years of active duty service in The United States Navy, I vowed to find ways to continue to support veterans in whatever community my wife and I called home. We have enjoyed raising our children in Lewis Center and being a part of this incredible community for the past three years. Honoring my promise to support veterans, I have searched for ways to fulfill this pledge beyond supporting veteran charity events and serving on local committees.
For Veterans Day each year, I have found a local veteran in need and provided extensive dental services for them. This has resulted in over $5,000 worth of free dental services for local veterans, but I realized I wanted to do even more to help. As we celebrate Moore Dental at Lewis Center’s three-year anniversary, I am excited to announce that I have expanded our annual Veterans Appreciation Day. On Monday, November 11th, I will be offering free dental services to ANY veteran! In his autobiography, “Faith of My Fathers”, John McCain states, “Nothing in life is more liberating than to fight for a cause larger than yourself, something that encompasses you but is not defined by your existence alone.” Expanding our Veterans Appreciation Day allows me to continue fighting for a cause that, as a veteran, is close to my heart.
